At Allander Evangelical Church, we seek to:

  • Exalt God’s Greatness
  • Equip God’s People
  • Evangelise God’s World
  • Express God’s Love

Exalt God’s Greatness (Jude 1: 24-25)

To provide opportunities for corporate and individual participation in worship

Equip God’s People (Ephesians 4: 12-13)

To prepare members of our church for works of service both within the church and the community through the various people and gifts available to us so that we become mature with the evidence of the Lord Jesus seen in our lives to the benefit of the church and the community

Evangelise God’s World (Matthew 28: 19-20)

To obey Jesus’ command for us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Express God’s Love (John 13: 34-35)

To love the Lord our God with all our hearts and minds and to love our neighbours as ourselves

As well as adopting a general approach to mission we encourage individual and corporate responses to be actively involved and practically supportive of mission activities.
The church is committed to supporting and encouraging outreach and mission activities wherever they are undertaken.

We also encourage our own people to become involved in Mission activities and voluntary work. For example, our Pastor and others are committed to helping out at Summer Camps run by Children for Christ in Romania and members of the congregation help in supplying materials for these camps and the orphanage. Others help at Scripture Union Camps and Groups.

We are committed to regular support of our missionaries working with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Mexico.

We also provide opportunities for Mission Agencies to present reports of their activities from time to time and have an arrangement for voluntary giving by the congregation in support of these. Currently the Missions we support in this way are: Wycliffe Bible Translators, the Faith Mission, Elam Ministries, Truth for Today, SAT-7, The Slavic Gospel association, Hope for Glasgow, Street Connect, The Space in Govanhill, Children for Christ in Romania, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Platform 67, Release International and The Christian Institute.
