Introduction
The Church traces its roots to 1885 when a small group of Christians began to meet in Bearsden. Later they met in Milngavie and moved to the present site in 1925. The new building dates from 1970 with extensions being added in 1984 and 1988. However, we believe that our basis goes back 2000 years to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles.
The Church is an independent evangelical fellowship strategically located in the centre of Milngavie (population 12,500) a few miles north of Glasgow. The building is close to the Post Office with a large public car park on two sides.
The congregation is active within and without the Church building and co-operates with the congregations and leaders of other churches in Milngavie in the furtherance of the gospel. The congregation is also involved in many of the community services provided in the area such as Friendship House and Friendship Circle. It is represented on the committees of The Association of Milngavie Churches, Friendship House Association and the Scottish Bible Society.
