PASTOR
Established over 100 years ago, Allander Evangelical Church is an Independent Church situated in the town of Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow. The Church has an active membership of approximately 110.
This post of Pastor is a new appointment where the Pastor will be required to spearhead the overall pastoral work and teaching of the Church enabling it to grow and to make a greater impact within the community.
The person appointed will be responsible for the following key areas:
Leadership - As a member of the Elders group, to advise and guide on issues of life, work, witness and discipleship.
Preaching and Teaching - To determine and take a lead role in the preaching and teaching within the Church.
Pastoral - To exercise pastoral care to members of the Church and to extend pastoral care to others in the local community.
General - To participate fully in the corporate life of the Church, to establish and maintain supportive links with other Churches and Christian groups and to develop strategic outreach into the Community.
